Meet OB&Co’s Founder, Oliver Banks

I help retail leaders drive transformation and realise their strategic goals. I founded retail consultancy OB&Co to help retailers and brands deliver change to improve customer experience and increase profitability.

Originally, I was a Chartered Engineer and cocktail mixologist, so naturally tend to blend a logical, systematic approach with energy and left-field thinking. Formerly, I worked with UK retail grocery giant, Tesco, and led multiple change programmes, increasing effectiveness and efficiency across stores, online operations and the supply chain. A fantastic grounding for what came next. 

Since founding OB&Co, I’ve kick-started transformation projects with global retailers and brands; creating innovative propositions, unlocking new revenue streams, expanding internationally, integrating acquisitions, plus defining, simplifying and realising ideal operating models. Collectively, these initiatives have delivered over £100m of net new annual profits for clients.

I’m honoured to be one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices for Retail and among the world’s top retail influencers, recognised by global retail news and insight firm, RETHINK Retail, and retail media outlet, the Retail Technology Innovation Hub. I host the popular podcast, the Retail Transformation Show, I love inspiring audiences through energising and insightful keynotes, and thoughtfully advising and consulting on navigating transformation and the ever-evolving retail trends.

OB&Co blends my capabilities with associate retail consultants, and tech and consulting partners to perfectly tailor the skills and capabilities for the transformation at hand. 

I value time with my family and two children. I’m also driven to complete our home renovations – I’m pretty handy with a spot of DIY too!
