Introducing Uwe Hennig

Uwe Hennig is Director of Market Development at Avery Dennison. He brings over 20 years of experience in applications using identification and sensor technology. And in particular, demonstrating how real-time data can help retailers to work more effectively. He leads a team of managers across Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Australia, providing strategic advice on the design and implementation of RFID.

Avery Dennison Smartrac systems use RFID for real-time supply chain management, in-store analytics and omnichannel retail. And Uwe helps retailers explore the opportunities and technology.

Previously Uwe was CEO at Detego, an RFID software company. In addition, he was Vice President of Sales at omni:us a company dealing with AI Machine Learning. Plus, he spent many years in systems integration for supply chain and in store management.

Uwe’s current focus is upon how smart items support customer-centricity in fashion and food retail.
